From Microsoft News: ...a Microsoft News poll this week found that 69 percent of adults in the U.S. favor hearing from witnesses.
The poll found not only that a clear majority of adults in the U.S. agree with hearing from witnesses, but that 59 percent say they strongly agree. Just 20 percent disagree, and of them, only 10 percent said they strongly disagree.
Among older Americans, 72 percent of people 65 or older strongly support witnesses. People 18-29 had the weakest support, but still, 50 percent of younger Americans also strongly agree. By party, 49 percent of Republicans oppose including witnesses, while 94 percent of Democrats support witnesses.
However, these poll numbers do not make a difference. The Senate is going to do what it wants, what Trump wants, to do regardless of the poll numbers.
What matters to each Senator is what the voters in each of their respective states.
