In His Quest For Political Power Donald Trump Just Rigged The System Making Him The King of The Swamp
In his quest for political power Donald Trump just became the king of the swamp he promised to drain. He is the atypical Washington D.C. politician placing his interests above the American public. He has used the political system to his advantage gaining a strangle hold over the GOP.
Moreover, he is using the Dershowitz Doctrine to do so…”so long as it is in the national interests, I can take any action I want to benefit myself and my political future.” Most important, the GOP and its leadership cowers in fear over Trump, fear of losing the positions of political power they covet in Washington D.C. The fear is making Trump the most politically powerful politician in the Washington D.C. swamp. He is a corrupt leader willing to do what he needs to gain, and keep, power. As the king of the swamp, he has his swamp rats held in line.
Trump is now the most politically powerful president in modern history.
NBC News: "It’s arguable that he’s the most politically powerful president in American history," presidential biographer Jon Meacham said on NBC News during a break in the trial Friday.
But that power, demonstrated with the Senate's 51-49 vote Friday against considering new evidence, combined with the mild rebukes from GOP senators to dilute the most compelling aspect of his political brand. It will be harder for Trump to cast himself as a victim of the system after allies in the Senate said he overstepped the bounds of his authority and then used their power to bail him out of trouble.
The more he looks like he's rigging the system, the less it looks rigged against him.
Unfortunately for Trump’s base, they will continue to turn a blind eye to the extent of Trump’s corruptive intent. They will blindly follow Trump while he uses his new political power to benefit his own interests, not the interests of the voters who support him. Trump knows he can easily mislead his voting base to achieve his ultimate political goal:
To be the most powerful individual in American politics making him a king or dictator, not a president who respects the constitution and is accountable to the other two equal branches of government...
Not to mention the American public.
“Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies.”
