This post and the comments is a good example of partisan filtering.
Now, let's take a look at what is going on objectively.
The FBI and intelligence officials have found that Russia interfered with our elections. The Russians used efforts to undermine the integrity of the election. Whether they succeeded is irrelevant to making this point. They have a goal of undermining our republic and will keep on trying until they succeed.
James Comey's testimony support the conclusions made by the FBI and intelligence officials:
BURR: Do you have any doubt that Russia attempted to interfere in the 2016
BURR: Do you have any doubt that the Russian government was behind the intrusions in the DNC and the DCCC systems, and the subsequent leaks of that information?
COMEY: No, no doubt.
Donald Trump has a flippant attitude toward a legitimate concern and a worth while investigation. Take for example this tweet: "Russian officials must be laughing at the U.S. & how a lame excuse for why the Dems lost the election has taken over the Fake News."
Russians may not have succeeded, but they tried and successfully hacked into the DNC and Clinton databases spreading misinformation and data to influence voters. This is fact, not fiction.
Unfortunately, it can never be definitively proven that the Russian hacks changed the results, but the Russians disseminated hacked information with one goal-to change voter's minds. The bottom line is a foreign government tried to influence an election and it was not in Clinton's favor
The issue is not collusion on these points, the issue is Russia, Putin, and the efforts to undermine our way of life and our system of government.
These are the facts. We need to worry about them...
We need to consider the facts objectively by dropping partisan filtering too.
