Did Sean Spicer resign over the appointment of a more liberal communications director at the White House?
Sean Spicer resigned as White House press secretary Friday morning, the New York Times first reported. Spicer told President Donald Trump he disagreed with New York investor Anthony Scaramucci’s appointment as White House communications director, according to the report.
The resignation, the Times reported, came very shortly after Trump offered Scaramucci the job. Talking Points Memo
...or is it because Spicer was on his way out anyway and Scaramucci's appointment just pushed Spicer out the door? Either way, there is a good probability that Spicer and Scaramucci did not see eye to eye.
